Waiting For Taylor

We're on our way! Emma eagerly holds on to her first real concert (well, maybe 3rd real concert if you count 2 trips to see The Wiggles!) It was a very chilly and wet day, but she insisted on the sundress and boots because that is what Taylor wears!

Allison stayed home with Grandma Judy and Grandpa Carl. That was part of the Christmas gift :) She was so excited to spend the night and talked about it constantly!

We made it to HP Pavillion. It was freezing when we got there, but again, Em insisted on looking cute as we made our way to the concert! Did you know it cost $20 bucks to park there for only a few hours. Insane!

Finally at our seats! We were on the opposite side of the arena from the stage and almost at the very top. We were row 17 out of 20. Being that we were directly in front of the stage, only on the opposite end, we had pretty good seats. Took a while to get to them though. We had to stop at the souvenir stand first. We were there for at least 45 minutes. In addition to people taking an eternity to make up theirs about what they wanted, the ATM card machine decided to break down after they ran my card. They didn't know if the transaction went through or not. Had to wait forever for someone that decided to take a rubbing of my card using some adding machine tape and a chap stick! She would then double check to see if the transaction was processed when she got back to work later in the week.

The big screens continued to show text messages from audience members. We just sent a text message to Taylor hoping it would put us in the running to win pit passes and and back stage passes too. We texted, "You Rock! I can't wait to see your concert! Love, Love, Love, Emma" We hoped to see the message on the big screen, but it never made it there and we didn't win the passes either :(

Gloriana came on stage first. They sang a few songs while Emma attentively looked on. Notice the "13" on her hand. That is because Taylor Swift's favorite/lucky number is 13 and always writes it on her had before a concert.

Now I know the photo is crooked, but I think that is because I titled the camera funny because it won't let me shift it right side up!

Gloriana finished up and then it was time to wait for Kellie Pickler!

Modeling the stylin' new Taylor Swift hat! We love the brown corduroy and turquoise!

What a dedicated performer. Apparently, Kellie Pickler tripped in front of a wedding chapel in Las Vegas a day or two before. Paramedics even came! At that concert her "cankle" was all bruised and swollen. No "Red High Heals" for her tonight! She thought about sticking it in a bucket of ice while on stage! Since she wasn't able to walk on it, she was helped on stage and sang her set while seated on a stool. You can see the bandage on her right foot.

While Kellie was performing the usher from our section came up and began taking pictures of groups of people around us. So, of course, I handed mine over too. Jeff was none to pleased and I couldn't tell when she was taking the photo because it was dark; hence, the lovely expression on my face!

Jeff went to get some popcorn after Kellie Pickler performed. Now just waitin' on Taylor to come out!
