Happy Easter!

Emma enjoyed setting out carrots, water and a note for the Easter bunny (note to be posted as soon as I get my scanner working!) In return for the treats he left the girls clues to find their Easter baskets. Emma's first clue said, " Creek knocks down the pictures with his crazy tail. Where do we go to get the mail?" Emma ran to get the mail key and headed down the block to the mail box. Sure enough...there was another clue!

Allison's first clue from the Rabbit said, "Allison Marie Brown is your name. What is your and Daddy's favorite princess game?" She ran right over to her princess dominoes to find her next clue.

Back over to Emma's clues...in the mailbox the clue read, "For your next clue you need to do some math. Find the house with this address: 520 + 212 +173 + 33 + 25 + 145." After she added the numbers on her white board she came up with 1108, our house number. Out she ran to find her next clue!

Meanwhile, while Emma was adding her numbers, Allison was searching for the place in the clue she found in her dominoes that said, " Some Easter candy, they call them Peeps. Go look under where Creek sleeps."

Under Creek's bed and on our house number were the final 2 clues the Easter Bunny left. Emma's read, " You like to play on Grandma Judy's Wii. Where does Daddy keep the Bumble Bee?" Allison's read, " Some numbers are even and some are odd. Where does Daddy keep his clod?" After reading the clues the girls new to run to the shed in the back yard. That is where Jeff keeps his rota-tiller (Emma calls it the Bumble Bee because it is yellow and black) and his quad (Allison calls his quad a clod and still doesn't quite get the pronunciation yet!) So, sure enough, sitting on Daddy's clod were two brightly decorated Easter baskets. The Easter Bunny sent the girls on a successful hunt for their treats. Thank you Easter Bunny!

That Bunny is so creative that he also left a few more clues that I don't have photos for. It was hard to keep up with both the girls on their separate hunts. Maybe next year the Bunny can make them hunt the same clues at the same time! Here are the other clues:
Emma: "Your math skills are very nice. What's a food that rhymes with mice?" (Emma ran straight to the pantry to find the rice!)
"I know you like ballet a lot. You plant vegetables in this spot!" (Jeff had just planted tomato plants and made a little green house for them so Emma knew to go straight to the vegetable garden!)

Allison: "Go out back for your next clue. Bananas are yellow and this is too." (Knowing we have a big yellow slide in the back yard, Allison knew right where to go!)
"Playing with mommy you like to tease. Go to the fridge and find the cheese." (This one took her a second to realize that the cheese was in the bottom drawer in the fridge.)

After the hunt was over the girls had fun searching through their baskets to find treats the Bunny left. They both found cookies, gardening tools, gardening gloves, veggie and herb seeds, wildflower seeds, bubbles and bathing suit and a few jelly beans! How fun!! Now they're all set to help Daddy plant more seeds in the garden. We can't wait for the harvest to come!
