TLC Bowling

Emma's school hosted a family bowling weekend at our local bowling alley. For $10 you could bowl unlimited games for 2 hours. The bowling alley made $4 per ticket and our school got the other $6. A great deal for some Friday afternoon fun! We met Sydney and Camden there. Layla joined us for the bowling fun too because she and Allison had had a play date at our house for the afternoon. It was the first time bowling for Allison and she just loved it!

Most of the afternoon the girls bowled with the assisted bowling ball roller. Sometimes they attempted to toss the ball on their own. Emma's made it down the alley just fine. Allison's on the other hand, didn't always make it down when she rolled it herself :) We needed the employees to come retrieve her ball sometimes!

While waiting for her turn to bowl, Allison thought the ball made a rather handy seat!

Sydney gets ready to take a shot at those pins. She looks so professional!

Gotta just love a cute pair of bowling shoes!

Allison would get so excited after she watched her ball roll down the alley. She would tell me, "I got a stripe!" when she knocked down all the pins. Later she caught on that she was really getting a spare. Here she showed me just how many spares she got during her game. Can you believe she got 5 spares?! Must be beginners luck!

It had been a very long week for Emma. (Taylor Swift on Sunday, jazz class on Monday, coming to my Relay For Life meeting on Tuesday, ballet and dinner at Grandma Judy's on Wednesday, run clinic...didn't make it due to a huge melt down!...and parent club meeting on Thursday and then bowling on Friday. It didn't help that she didn't eat her snack before she went in.

After the first game Emma and Allison tied at 80; all the girls wanted to play again. Emma didn't quite make it through her 2nd game. She scored a 76. Allison was on fire in game #2 with all of her stripes. She earned a 109 for the game. Finally, Layla started to fizzle in the end too and bowled an 80.

We had a nice afternoon all while supporting Emma's school. What could be better than that?!
