Recital Hair-do Run Throughs

Allison was up first! She was a bit uneasy about sitting in the big chair as Auntie Mo began working on her hair. A princess in the making...

...really, do I have to sit here and do this mom?! Auntie Mo sure looks like she is having fun though!

Allison's had the craziest hair piece this year. It was like a little purple scrunchie with sequins on it. However, it had no elastic! In fact, it was held together with staples!!! Auntie Mo did a great job of first putting part of her hair in a ponytail.

Then she pulled the pony through the stapled scrunchie! Wa-la! It worked and my pretty princess was all smiles again!

Thank you, Auntie Mo!

Darrian even gave his thumbs up approval of the fancy hair-do for Allison. He was such a trooper as he sat there and watched Allison, Emma and Sydney get their hair done.

Now it's Emma's turn to sit in the chair. She's an old pro now that she's got 4 recitals under her belt. She loves getting her hair done by Auntie Mo!

Because Emma had two recital dances this year, Monica decided to do a low bun off to the side. In these two dances there were two different head pieces. One was a flower-bonnet thing, and then the other was a sequinny red head band. Emma needed a hair-do that could transition back and forth between the two easily.

Emma needed lots and lots of bobby pins to make it all stay in place! Monica supplies us a year's worth of bobby pins each year at recital time. All I have to do is collect them all from her hair and we're set until the following year. I never have to buy bobby pins!

Ta-da! It's all done and looks so pretty! Thank you, Auntie Mo!

Our little dancers are all ready for picture day now. It was a successful recital hair-do run through!
