Yes! The girls decided it was warm enough to swim in Grandpa Rex and Grandma Sue's pool last Sunday. The sun had been shining all day and they said it was warm at a whooping 69 degrees! See, they've been itchin' to go in the pool for the past month or so. The weather has been nice and they always ask to put their feet in. Feet turns to up to the knees which then turns to up to the arm pits when the lay out on the deck.I had also just been swimming in 58 degree water earlier in the morning, so who was I to say they were crazy to get into the cold pool! Eventually, I told them they could swim knowing they wouldn't last long! I was right. Emma was first to get out after about 5-10 minutes. Allison followed about 5 minutes later.
Allison was a bit timid in the water. She used to have no fear and would float all over the pool. This time she stuck close to the edge because she was afraid her swimmies wouldn't hold her up. Need to get that girl in swim lessons soon!
Canon Baaaaalllllll! Emma picked right back up on her swimming skills from last summer.
All done with the April swim. Now it's time to warm up on the warm concrete. I'm sure from here on out they are going to want to swim now! I can't wait!April 18, 2010
