While visiting Grandma Sue and Grandpa Rex's house, the girls had the opportunity to participate in another Easter Egg hunt. Their Del Webb community hosts the annual event and the girls love to go. All of the girls were able to gather 8 more eggs! Allison ate about all her treats from the eggs before we even made it back to the house!
Not only is there an egg hunt, but there is face painting too. Allison chose a pink butterfly and Emma asked for a blue one. They lasted all night. Allison's started to itch, so most of hers was scratched off by bed time. Guess that is what acrylic paint does to your face!
Emma was excited that her classmate from school, Cassidy, came to the egg hunt too. Cassidy's grandparents live in Del Webb as well. Notice the cute little mini cupcakes all the kids got to eat. Those grandparents are all so sweet and know how to put on a great Easter party for all the kiddos.
Something fun and new this year were relay races. The first race was balancing an egg on a spoon while making a loop around the bucket. Allison did a great job and was deeply concentrating on her route to and around the bucket.
Emma was able to relax a bit more as she and her egg made the bend around the tub before heading back to her team.
After the egg on the spoon relay, it was time for holding the water balloon under your chin relay. Allison decided she just wanted to hold the balloon and not walk with it down to the bucket. Emma on the other hand...she made many trips to the bucket with the egg balloon under her chin. Way to go Em!
While Em and Allison played the games, Brynn watched nearby. Cute little Kiley was playing "peek-a-boo" with Danielle. So sweet nose to nose!
After the festivities at the park were over it was time to head back to Grandma and Grandpa's house for some Easter dinner...ham, scalloped potatoes, veggies, fruit salad, rolls and bunny cake! Yum!
