The time has finally come for Mom to call it quitin' time with the school district after 22 years. On the Friday before school got out the staff had a pot luck and Khush, our principal, said lots of nice words about the entire staff. She saved the best for last...Mom!
Khush was very emotional talking about Mom. Next year is going to be rough because we all know the school secretary runs the school!
She presented her with a brick with the inscription below. Ever since our school opened back in 2005, we have sold bricks that will eventually be cemented in the front of the school for all to see.
Allison was able to come to the celebration with me and wanted to take a picture with Grandma's brick!
Lastly, Khush presented Mom with a picture frame and all the staffs members' signatures. We took a photo of the staff shortly there after (then had to take it again the following week because it was a terrible photo!) Along with the framed picture, the staff presented Mom with a $500.00 gift certificate to put toward their new golf cart they are in line to buy. Happy Retirement Mom!May 21, 2010
