A couple years ago Jeff planted this crazy, fast growing tree in the backyard. In that short time, it grew so fast that the roots were under the fence and caused Pete to have to move his shed. Jeff was constantly cutting part of the root that was traveling under the grass and peaking out. The final straw was when the roots began to push up part of the patio stones. I was sad to see it go, but Jeff had to chop it down :(
He decided to tackle this task on his own, which made me very nervous! He started to make a cut and then was pulling on the tree hoping it would fall toward the play structure. As you can see, it didn't do that. Instead it fell on the fence towards Pete's house. Yikes! Jeff then went next door, and into Pete's backyard, to push the tree back on our side.
I miss the tree and all the shade it provided for our backyard.
