Ms. Grabert's Wedding Shower

One of Emma's teachers, Ms. Grabert, was engaged to be married during the school year. Lora had the idea to have the class throw her a wedding shower that mimicked an actual wedding. It was so much fun and filled with so many wedding details! Sarah, Sydney, Angelina, Allyson and Emma.  All the daughters of the moms that helped put everything together.  Love how they are all dressed in yellow, gray or white...the actual wedding colors!

Ms. Grabert puts Emma's veil on.  All the girls wore a small veil (pinned on by Ms. Grabert) and the boys wore bow ties pinned on by Mr. Estes himself. The "guests" eagerly wait for the ceremony to begin.  Allison even got in on the action!
The classroom decorated and ready to go!

Allison loves her Sydney!Mrs. Berolo, Mrs. Lins and Mrs. Hawkins were the maids of honor for Ms. Grabert.
Lora served as the officiant.
Exchanging of the vows.
Cake cutting!
The guests blew bubbles as the new Mr. and Mrs. Estes were announced.

What a fun afternoon for all the kids to experience!

Where Do Plants Grow Best?

I am so proud of Emma! She did such a great job on her science project! She typed her entire lab write-up all by herself. It took close to 5 hours to type, but she did it all without any complaining! I only helped with some formatting! All that hard work paid off because she earned an award among all the 2/3 students in her school for one of the best experiments from both classes!  Maybe she's my budding scientist and will follow in my footsteps...

Spring-time Gardening

Spring is in the air! That means it is time to plant the garden in the back yard! The girls love to help Jeff plant the veggies for the season.

Tomatoes, cucumbers, squash and melon all planted and ready to grow!  Great job girls!  Can't wait to see what we can harvest this season!

Basil and cilantro for the herb barrel too.  We love our fresh pesto and salsa!

Slumber Party at Aunt Bonnie's

When Uncle Bobby passed away in March of 2003, in March of 2004 we started a tradition of the cousins (me, Kim, Jen and a few years later Danielle too), 2nd cousins (Emma, Brady, Shandley, Brynn, Allison, Kiley, Robert and Mary!), aunts (mom and and Aunt Bonnie) and Grandma Rogers getting together and spending the night together near the anniversary of his passing.  It was fun to spend time together and remember what made him so special to all of us.  The past few years we weren't able to get a meetup together, but we did again this year...and we had lots of cousin kiddos to help us celebrate!
Loving my cute niece, Kiley and my Crazy Brown Girl, Allison.
Showin' off the dance moves with the Wii.
We all made our our personal pizzas for dinner!  Yum! We needed a map to remember which pizza belonged to which kid!

After dinner, we actually got them all to sit on the couch together!  Kiley, Emma, Brynn, Brady, Allison, Shandley, Mary and Robert!

Time for a movie break.

Em and Aunt Bonnie.
Aunt Susie reads stories to the kiddos before bedtime.
Cousin smiles...Kiley and Em.

Nighty night to all the cousins!
